During my time at William Peace University, my courses focused on developing four core competencies: critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and intercultural knowledge. Below is a selection of work that highlights my growth in each of these areas.
Critical Thinking
The Hill Case - Storytelling in Gaming Final Project
In The Hill Case project, my group and I applied critical thinking by analyzing historical, psychological, and cultural perspectives on the Betty and Barney Hill incident. I helped evaluate conflicting viewpoints and synthesize evidence to shape a cohesive, immersive game concept.
Problem Solving
Better Online Shopping - User Experience
In Better Online Shopping, I identified key pain points in the online shopping experience and developed a user-centered solution to address them. I broke down complex issues, designed improvements that enhanced usability, built trust, and improved the overall experience, as demonstrated by a high-fidelity prototype in Figma.
Communications
Co-Editor in Chief + Staff Writer - The Peace Times
As Co-Editor-in-Chief and Staff Writer for The Peace Times, I communicated effectively through both writing and editing. Over three semesters as a writer and my final semester in a leadership role, I produced, edited, and published articles while maintaining a blog, strengthening my ability to clearly and effectively share ideas with an audience.

Intercultural knowledge
Ethnographic Fieldwork on an Asian Supermarket, H Mart - Cultural Anthropology
In my ethnographic fieldwork at H Mart, I explored and analyzed cultural practices, behaviors, and beliefs within an Asian supermarket setting. Through observation, interaction, and research, I developed a deeper understanding of cultural differences and how traditions are maintained within diverse communities, which I documented in a 10-page analysis.
